Bikash's Journey of Transformation
In the industrial town of Burnpur, Riverside of West Bengal, while hope bustled in the eyes of Bikash Kumar Turi just like any youth aspiring to grab opportunities – what stood as a hurdle was the dilapidated financial conditions of his home.
Bikash's father bore the burnt of his family’s finances as a Toto driver, the sole breadwinner. Scarcity of resources pushed him away from his dream, forcing to give up his education in class 9.
Bikash, determined for a change never lost hope, this kindled the fire to learn. While searching for a way to support his family, he stumbled upon Peerless Skill Academy's courses, enrolling himself in the GDA program ( General Duty Assistant). He shares “ I have never turned back since that day”.
What began as journey to self- sufficiency led him to the lanes of empowerment. With sheer grit, determination and constant effort throughout the course, Bikash attended the daily sessions, inculcated practical market focused skills and emerged as an efficient assistant in patient and home care services.
Upon completing the course, Bikash felt ready to take on the job market. He participated in PSA's Placement Drive and successfully got selected by 2050 Health Care for the job role – Home Care Assistant. “The skills made me empowered, it gave me confidence.”
Bikash is now placed at Ranchi with a monthly salary of ₹16, 000. The story lies not just in numbers, but in the sheer determination and the urge to transform lives when acquired the right skills.
